Important Announcements: Ukraine Trip & REIT Conference In Miami

This is Jussi and I have a few quick announcements to make.

Firstly, I am happy to report that I am back from Ukraine and the trip went well. Russia actually launched a large-scale missile and drone attack on Kyiv right as we were there, but Ukraine's air defense has greatly improved since our first trip. We heard a few explosions! 

We brought 11 more cars to Ukraine and these cars were also filled with generators, drones, tires, blankets, and other essentials. This brings the total to 30 cars since we began these efforts in July. 

We again drove from Tallinn, Estonia all the way to Kyiv, Ukraine - a 35-hour drive:

This was only possible thanks to the generosity of the High Yield Landlord community. In total, we raised nearly $60,000 from our members for this trip.

One of our members, Stan, donated $40,000 for this trip and he even joined us for the ride! (By the way, if any of you would be interested to join me on a future convoy, send me an email at jaskola@leonbergcapital.com and I can try to organize it for you)

Then, another member, Jim, donated $5,000. Jim has donated $30,000 in total to these efforts since the beginning of the war. Finally, we had many members donate $1,000-$2,000 and lots of smaller $100-500 donations.

I have said this before, but the amount of support is really mind-blowing to me. I am so grateful to have such generous people on board this community as this makes a big difference for Ukraine.

So a big thank you to all of you who donated! We again had some soldiers cry out of joy as they heard about how we crowdfunded these purchases. 

Since most of the money came from US-based members, we also put US flags on two of the cars:

My next trip to Ukraine will be in June. I will again announce it a few weeks prior to it just in case some of you want to help in one way or another.

And here's the second announcement:

I will head to Miami in March for the annual Citi Global Property Conference. 

Most major REITs will be there and I expect to meet many REIT executives and hope to share some exclusive analyses/interviews with you very soon. 

My time in Miami will be very busy, but in case you are based there, let me know and I will keep you posted if I manage to free up some time to grab lunch or dinner together. I will be there from the 2nd until the 8th of March.
